A one-day escape from Dhaka, planned hour by hour
The Daylong Bliss package runs 8 AM to 6 PM for BDT 2,500 per person. Here is how to spend those ten hours without wasting one of them.

Leave Dhaka early. The drive to Sreepur takes roughly two hours, and an eight o'clock arrival buys you the quietest part of the day — mist still sitting over the lake, the lawns empty, the pool untouched.
Start with a walk. The path around the lake passes the rope swing and the old trees at the far end, and takes about twenty unhurried minutes. Then breakfast at Banglar Rosui before the sun gets serious.
Mid-morning belongs to the pool. There is a separate kids' pool beside the main one and the water is changed daily, which is the first thing parents ask about. Children who prefer land head for the playground instead.
Lunch is the centre of the day: bhorta, fried rui or hilsha, a curry, polao. Afterwards, the shaded lawns are the right place to do nothing at all for an hour.
Groups of fifteen get one complimentary room for the day, which is worth knowing if you are coming with colleagues or extended family — somewhere to change, rest and keep bags. Leave by six, back in Dhaka for dinner.
